Instructions on how to delete your Marcketplace account and associated personal data.

Important Notice Regarding Account Deletion

Account deletion is a scheduled process that permanently removes your profile, listings, and history following a 14-day grace period.

Option 1: Inside the Mobile App (Recommended)

You can delete your account directly inside the iOS or Android mobile app:

1. Open the Marcketplace app on your mobile device.

2. Tap the « Profile » tab in the bottom navigation bar.

3. Go to « My account », then tap « Delete account ».

4. Review the confirmation prompt and tap « Confirm Account Deletion ».

Grace Period and Cancellation

Once requested, your account enters a 14-day grace period during which your profile and listings are hidden from public view. If you change your mind, simply log back in to the app or website before the date to cancel the deletion. Once the grace period expires, all data is permanently and irreversibly purged.

Option 2: Email Request (Without the Mobile App)

If you no longer have access to the app or have already uninstalled it:

Send an email to [email protected] from the email address registered with your account, with the subject « Account Deletion Request ». Include your registered phone number or username so our support team can verify your identity and schedule deletion within 48 hours.

Data Retention & Purging Summary

Data permanently erased upon deletion:

  • •Authentication credentials, email address, and phone number
  • •Display name, avatar, and account preferences
  • •All active product listings and submitted requests
  • •Chat messages, sent quotes, and media attachments
  • •Push notification device tokens and active session credentials

Data temporarily retained (if legally mandated):

  • •Records strictly required to comply with Moroccan statutory tax/legal obligations or to resolve unresolved fraudulent disputes, purged immediately upon expiry of statutory limitation periods.
